Eid Gift Distribution
Food packages so that families who cannot afford a festival meal have one. Packed and delivered by our volunteers in Gaibandha.
Eid is a difficult time to be poor. In the households we work with, the festival often passes with the same meal as any other day, and parents carry that quietly.
Our Eid gift distribution provides a package of rice, lentils, cooking oil, semai, sugar and spices — enough for a family to cook a proper festival meal. Recipients are identified beforehand with help from local people, and each receives a numbered token so the distribution is orderly and fair.
Where your donation goes
A package costs around ৳1,000 to assemble. Volunteers do the packing and distribution themselves, so what you give goes into the contents rather than the overheads.
