A package carried to the door

Rahima BegumGaibandha Sadar10 March 2026Emergency & Festival Relief

I cannot walk to the school any more. I did not expect anyone to remember me. They brought it to my house.

Rahima Begum is in her seventies and lives with her son on the edge of Gaibandha Sadar. She has not been able to walk as far as the primary school — where our Eid distribution is held — for two years.

Under the token system, that would normally mean missing out. Instead her name was recorded in advance and her package was carried to her home on the morning of the distribution, along with eleven others for people in the same position.

It is a small adjustment. It is also the difference between a distribution that serves the people who can reach it and one that serves the people who need it.
